Dr. Asterios Patsiaouras

Asterios Patsiaouras is member of the teaching staff at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (DPESS) of the University of Thessaly in Greece and he is responsible for teaching and co-ordinating all volleyball courses in the Department.
He received his Bachelor degree at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (DPESS) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1992), and hisMagister Phil. (1995) and Ph.D. degrees (1999) in Sportwissenschaften (Sportpsychology) at the Alma Matter Rudolphina University of Vienna, Austria.
Asterios Patsiaouras has extensive research activity and international recognition in the research field of Volleyball and Sport psychology. He has published papers in refereed academic journals, congresses and conference proceedings and he is the author of numerous books concerning volleyball.
He is particularly interested in Sport psychology and continues to work towards promoting volleyball as a member of the Youth Development Committee of the Greek Volleyball Federation. Additionally, he has been elected supervisor of the European volleyball games which will take place in 2012-2013 in Europe by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV).
